Modern Royale

Fort Myers, Florida

This dated poolscape was in desperate need of transformation. The original builder-grade pavers were sinking, and oversized boulders along the pool’s edge disrupted both flow and function. While the client wanted to preserve the existing pool shape, they asked us to completely reimagine the surrounding space with a more refined and contemporary vision.

We began with a crisp new material palette—selecting light, brushed Diana Royale pavers for a clean, timeless aesthetic. Each piece of pool coping and the step risers were carefully templated and hand-fabricated to follow the graceful curves of the pool, delivering a fully custom and sophisticated finish.

To enhance spatial definition and eliminate previous obstructions, we removed all boulders and raised the rear section of the patio by 18 inches. Sweeping curved steps now create an elegant transition between levels, echoing the organic shape of the pool.

To soften the expansive hardscape, large synthetic turf panels were inset into the elevated patio, offering visual contrast and low-maintenance greenery. The existing fence was powder-coated and reinstalled, giving it a clean new life, while the overgrown and outdated landscape was replaced with vibrant tropical plantings to introduce color, texture, and coastal grace.
